Happy New Year! 2023 marks the 40th anniversary of MTS Painting. We began in 1983 as a commercial landscape maintenance company, quickly adding painting to the mix. The company was founded by my parents, Roger and Carol Fornoff. MTS stands for my three sons, meaning their three sons, Randy (me), Ron and Jason. I’ve been the owner and general manager of the company since Dad’s retirement. I’m pleased to announce that my eldest son Josh became my partner last year. We are a multigenerational family business. Family is extremely important to our identity and our culture.
We have seen a great deal of change in the Valley of the Sun these past four decades. Our crews travel up to forty miles each day from our offices in west Mesa to paint your homes and businesses. That’s forty miles on freeways that hadn’t yet been built, to neighborhoods that didn’t exist when the business started. Speaking of growth, we are grateful to have continually grown these forty years, adding many new customers in 2022. But for some of you, MTS has painted your properties more than once, and perhaps your children’s homes as well.
Throughout this year, we will find opportunities to share some of our stories with you. This email, our website, and our social media with feature vignettes of the history of MTS Painting and our plans. We’ve learned much about painting. We continue to be students of the craft. It is our priority to continue to be the painting contractors you’ve come to trust and rely on well into the future.
We are thankful to you, our customers, and we are grateful for the small role we fill in making our valley more beautiful, home by home, building by building. Let us know if your home, community, or business can use some beautifying this year.
